History – History has never walked uniformly, but always by actions and reactions, by impulses and counter-shocks, progressing in time, not like a river channelled on man-made banks but like a watercourse, allowed to roam freely on the plain, which by it meanders as its dynamism allows.
Beside the apparent history there is another, deeper one, the substantial History.
